There are 24 Senators who deserve a standing ovation...

For not backing down against the deceptively titled, "Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005". They are all Democrats and their names are:

Akaka (D-HI), Boxer (D-CA), Cantwell (D-WA), Corzine (D-NJ), Dayton (D-MN), Dodd (D-CT), Dorgan (D-ND), Durbin (D-IL), Feingold (D-WI), Feinstein (D-CA), Harkin (D-IA), Kennedy (D-MA), Kerry (D-MA), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Leahy (D-VT), Levin (D-MI), Lieberman (D-CT), Mikulski (D-MD), Murray (D-WA), Obama (D-IL), Reed (D-RI), Rockefeller (D-WV), Sarbanes (D-MD), Schumer (D-NY), Wyden (D-OR)

Sen. Clinton was recorded as "Not Voting", and presumably not in the chamber because of her husband's surgery yesterday.

If any of these Senators represent you, maybe you should take a moment to call and thank them for supporting real Americans facing real hardships.

The 10 states with the highest rates of bankruptcy filings:

Utah, Tennessee, Georgia, Nevada, Indiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio, Mississippi and Idaho.

Compare and contrast. Who are our Senators representing, exactly?

Politology wants to take the fight to the House, which is expected to move quickly to pass the bill next month. Tunesmith also has a Friday action planned and a post not dissimilar to this one. File that under "pissed off patriots think alike".
