Another Awesome Thing About Kerry Not Running
If there's one thing you can count on with the right wing blogs, it's that once they have someone's blood in their mouths, they just can't walk away from the body.
So, guess who went to Switzerland and did a boneheaded thing? And guess who gets another day or two of nasty Fox News coverage and angry howls from the right wingosphere? And guess who isn't running for president?
Just for balance, here's the United States' top diplomatic official visiting with notorious dictator Teodoro Obiang, representing the explicit policies George W. Bush's government:

Here, Secretary Rice meets with the foreign minister of Egypt, a nation that, let's say, does not live up to America's democratic vision.

Here's the President of the United States welcoming Uzbek dictator Islam Karimov to the White House. One of Karimov's practices in his own country is to boil dissidents alive. This is what one of his victims looked like after Karimov's security forces were finished torturing him to death. Not work safe.

All of which is to say a couple of things: two can play at this game; and that one might ask whether a US Senator airing his personal opinion in proximity to the former leader of a hostile regime is more or less moral than the types of contacts shown on the US State Department's official website.
Sully calls the Kerry incident a disgrace. At least he's used the same term for Bush's government. Hot Air should take note.
