Hello Media?
Cernig links to a Kuwaiti report that US and Iraqi forces are attacking Al Sadr's compound near Baghdad. TPM references it on its front page.
To look in on this breaking report that seems to have some potentially serious (either good or bad) repercussions for Iraq and the United States, I go to CNN. Nothing. I go to Fox News. Nothing. The US Army's news website? Nothing. DefenseLink? Nothing.
Some confirmation would be a lovely thing from our journalists. I'm afraid they may be waiting for a Pentagon flunkey to hand them a press release. Thank God for bloggers.
